Emily Lehr: My Story

A native of Martinsburg, West Virginia, songwriter and instrumentalist...

Currently residing in Nashville, Lehr is originally from Martinsburg, W. Va. and often writes about her personal experiences with things like grief, relationships and road trips.

She finds comfort in the tradition of her Appalachian roots while maintaining her own spin on her sound. Borrowing from the likes of Carole King and Joni Mitchell, Lehr incorporates elements from a previous generation in addition to current influences such as Sarah Jarosz and Kacey Musgraves.

Her debut album “The Drive Home,” a love letter to West Virginia, written about home, family, and the complexities of finding your way through faith and self-discovery, can be found on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
